Providing Emergency Resources and Relief from Hunger & Despair

OFFICE OF SOCIAL SERVICES

Located next door to the Soup Kitchen, the Office of Social Services is open Monday through Friday from 10:30AM until 12:30PM.

Staffed by trained volunteers, this office provides referrals to government and other agencies such as Department of Children & Families. It also provides emergency food bags, hygiene kits, clothing, mental health counselng, photo I.D.'s, HIV/AIDS testing, Legal Aid, Veteran's Assistance, transportation, and shelter referrals. Other services provided: Nutrition counseling, unemployment compensation application assistance, assistance in obtaining a Florida ID, Social Security Disability counseling and assistance.

Perhaps most importantly, the Office of Social Services is a place where people in need can find an understanding friend who will listen to their story and care about their problem.
